In order to access a service or agency, you or your child must make a referral. Here is a list of services you can access according to your child’s age and need.
0 – School Entry
- Porcupine Health Unit
- Child and Family Services of Timmins and District
- Community Living Children’s Services (if your child has an intellectual disability)
- Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (if you child has an intellectual disability)
- Private mental health practitioners (please consult yellow pages for local listing)
- Pediatrician (please consult local yellow pages for local listing)
*Entry to school is very important, some of the agencies listed above, can assist the family with transitioning to school at the time of your child’s registration. Please access education for more information.
Junior Kindergarten- High School
Below is a list of agencies that you and your child may access at this age depending on their needs. You can also speak to your family physician if you have concerns about your child’s mental health and/or behaviours.

High school – Adulthood
Below is a list of agencies that your youth/young adult may access depending on their age and needs. Please keep in mind that a transition from children to adult services may require a referral to another agency. Updated service information and/or assessments may be required to support future adult programs.

Please access education for more information. At this time, your youth/young adult may have completed their education, please refer to employment for more information.
Youth:
